What is a Chemical Peel?

Glycolic Peel

Glycolic Acid is a very popular Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). It is super beneficial for controlling and reactivating cell synthesis processes. It encourages cellular regeneration and gives the skin a plumping effect

Suitable for: Targeting fine lines and wrinkles, ageing skin, plumping and firming, pigmentation, scarring, decongesting, cell renewal.

Tip: This peel is beneficial 2 weeks before a skin needling treatment!

Salicylic Peel

Salicylic Acid is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) derived from white willow bark. It has the special ability to penetrate clogged pores and dissolve the 'glue' that holds pore-clogging dead skin cells together. This helps clear breakouts.

Suitable for: Reducing level of sebum (oil) produced, unclogs the pores, targets congestion and prevents breakouts, soothes the skin, stimulates cell turnover.

Tip: This peel is beneficial to help clear up breakouts pre event!

Lactic Peel

Lactic Acid is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) commonly derived from milk. There are also vegan alternatives such as fermented corn starch and beets. It exfoliates by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells to reveal a more radiant complexion. This helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots.

Suitable for: Dry skin types and aged skin, hydrates the skin and soothes inflammation. 

Mandelic Peel

Mandelic Acid is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) derived from almonds. It accelerates skin cell turnover and is a powerful exfoliate to assist in the removal of dead skin cells

Suitable for: Redness, Rosacea, sensitive skin, pigmentation and dark spots, acne
