Regular Tint VS Henna Tint

Are you wanting to achieve fuller looking brows without the effort of pencilling the in in the morning? Brow tinting will be your number one time saver! We all have different preferences when it comes to the colour, shape and intensity of our brows. Depending on your skin type, some brow tints may not last as long as long or suit the best!

Henna Tint

Henna Tint is a natural dye made from a plant known as the Hina or Henna Tree. The tint stains the skin beneath the eyebrow hairs and can last up to 3-4 weeks!

Regular Tint

Regular tint is designed to stain the brow hairs more than the skin beneath the hairs. This can create a more natural and subtle look and can last up to 2 weeks.

What tint will suit my skin type?

Oily skin

If you find that your skin is oily or tends to become shiny throughout the day, you may find that tint will be harder to stain your skin. The natural oils in your skin will break down the colour of the tint faster and will fade quicker.

We recommend Henna Brow Tinting for this reason as it does last longer than regular tint. Henna tint not only stains the brow hairs, but will stain the skin beneath as well. Regular tint often stains only the brow hairs.

Dry or Dehydrated skin

If you find that your skin is quite dry, you may find that your dry patches an effect the appearance of the tint.

We recommend regular brow tinting as it won’t adhere to dry or flaky patches as noticeably as henna would.

What colour will suit me?

Although your skin type an have an effect on the choice of your brow tint, your hair colour can also have an impact!

Cooler Blondes:

If your blonde is more ashy than warm, regular tint colours will really compliment your hair.

Warmer Blondes

We recommend Henna Tint as it throws more of a warmer tone. Henna Tint also has a wide range of colours to work with to help achieve more or little depth.

Brunettes

There is more choice when it comes to brown hair as both tints suit incredibly well so it really depends of the fullness you want to achieve.

Red Hair

We recommend Henna Tint as it throws more of a warmer tone.

At the end of the day, brow tinting does come down to personal preference so we do recommend trying both styles of brow tinting at least once, to know what style you like!
